Why have we rebranded?

Welcome to the first article of the Fletcher Thompson rebranding. Now you may be reading this, thinking well, why did they rebrand in the first place? Well you’re about to find out!

First things first...

First off, think of your typical accountant. What do you think of? I am going to guess that the first few images that came in to your head were a big scary person in a black suit, sitting behind a large desk with a calculator in one hand and a wodge of cash in the other. Well at Fletcher Thompson, we want to flip this view. We want to make sure that we are friendly and personable; we aren’t scary and intimidating; we work with you as a team and finally show that we are not all boring!

We are friendly and personable...

With a small team of one director, two full time members of staff and one part-time, we know how important a personalised service is. Often when we speak to our clients, we find that they didn’t feel that they could really talk to their previous accountant. If someone is looking after such an important aspect of our lives, it is crucial that you feel that you can speak to them. Our new logo is based around the concept of being open and friendly. That’s why our speech bubbles are so important to us, you may notice our lovely speech bubble in our logo.

We may be modern, digital accountants, but we still display our personalised service. If you pick up the phone, you will always get through to a friendly human. We make sure that you get to know us, just as much as we get to know you; that way we all work as a team. If you need assistance, you need to know who you can speak to.

We aren’t scary and intimidating...

Again, we found that many find their accountant intimidating, often stating that they didn’t feel that their accountant had enough time for them. Our new branding is specifically designed to be clean, fresh and easy to understand. We don’t want you to be stressed just looking at our website! Did you notice? We’ve also dropped the ‘Chartered Accountants’?! Don’t worry, no one has lost any qualifications, we are still Chartered. We decided that calling ourselves Chartered, not only means very little to most, but adds to us sounding like those scary, calculator carrying suit wearers!

We work with you as a team...

As part of our rebranding we are now focusing on the ways in which we can work with our clients to help as quickly and effectively as possible. Our website is easy to use, and doesn’t have all of the lengthy boring wording that that no one reads, as every other accountant seems to do.

A large part of our rebranding is based on our cloud accounting and how this can help you to streamline your processes. Allowing you to minimise time spent on accounting activities and allowing us to more easily integrate our work with yours. Don’t worry if cloud accounting seems intimidating at this stage though, we are experts in helping you make the move.

Not all accountants are boring...

Finally, we really want to display how we are actually normal humans, just like you! Not all accountants are the stereotypical boring calculator lovers! Our website shows our fun side, as well as the necessary accounting information. Our colours aren’t the normal greys and blacks, and our logo is fun and interactive.
